About our in house Pet Photographer
A native of Asheville, North Carolina, Kelly Giezentanner has been using her
camera to make visual narratives of people and pets for over ten years. She began her
career as a commissioned photographer making creative and endearing portraits of
children. In choosing to capture the essence of pet over the perfect pose,
Kelly created her own unique way of seeing pet and family life. Her artistic style and ease in working with pet began by shooting many wonderful pictures of her own dog, Coco, a Yorkshire Terrier.
Her love of telling stories with her camera made the journey into pet
photography a natural one. Starting with referrals from her children's
photography, clients began commissioning her for wedding and pet photos work. Kelly's
philosophy of unobtrusively capturing the details and expressions of the client's pet combined with her easy-going nature makes her popular with four-legged clients.
Her work is regularly exhibited in local galleries and she schedules several shows
throughout the year.
